I answered, "Writing." He then said, "Good Since you're not doing anything I'll give you a call."Warren Bullhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07789270258599769915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1025201337316610324.post-91035833526701667712014-04-04T23:26:13.579-04:002014-04-04T23:26:13.579-04:00Such an important lesson . . . and such a hard one...Such an important lesson . . . and such a hard one. My mom used to say that people will rely on the usual volunteer for as long as she continues to do it, but someone will come forward if that person lets go. I'm not sure that's always true, but you can't do it all, and if people value the enterprise, one will step up. I used to give a good friend "vocabulary lessons" consisting of the single word "no."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1025201337316610324.post-45969890619507409632014-04-04T14:17:12.956-04:002014-04-04T14:17:12.956-04:00Good point....and I hope you are able to find the ...Good point....and I hope you are able to find the balance for this coming year!Debra H. Way back in the day I was the poorest of all my friends, had a houseful of kids, no dryer until my 5th came along which meant hanging up about 4 loads of laundry every day--and I was the newsletter editor, parlimentarian, secretary and then PTA president for 4 years at my kids grammar school then Jr. High, Camp Fire leader for 10 years, walked the streets on different voting campains, and yes did the March of Dimes. Now that I'm ancient, I still do a few things--what I have trouble saying no to is people wanting me to review their books--but I have to, no way could I read all those books and write my own.Marilyn Meredith a.k.a.
