I found it interesting that the "inner dialogue" was stronger in some - both writers and readers. <br />MLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15734487848824680191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1025201337316610324.post-58704146909990098152020-11-05T16:52:59.393-05:002020-11-05T16:52:59.393-05:00Absolutely! And, Like T.K, plans for the story can get re-routed when a character wants to go in a different direction.Gay Yellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03563945979041377280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1025201337316610324.post-70848552420194819712020-11-05T16:46:16.542-05:002020-11-05T16:46:16.542-05:00Hi Mary, I absolutely "hear" my characte...Hi Mary, I absolutely "hear" my characters voices. Once one said something so unexpected and funny, I almost fell out of the bed (where I was working, I'll admit). Another time, I was driving down the road and a character completely changed the plot by what he said. For me, this is part of what makes writing fun. The subconscious is way smarter than the conscious part of the mind, which has a hard time getting me to the kitchen for a cup of coffee sometimes, much less writing a book!T.K.
