Steps are left out. Parts are mislabelled. Diagrams are unclear and confusing. Seems like there should be a job for professional writers here. I'd bet good money that Maggie could now write a great instruction manual for putting together the Swedish dresser.

Rhonda
aka The Southern Half of Evelyn David
(I just spent three hours figuring out how to put together a window venting assembly for a portable room air conditioner. And it came with two sets of instructions - the quick assembly one and the in depth one. Not only do you get something old and cool, but it's ready to go! ;-) I did have to order a very specific console for our entryway that was no more than 13" deep. It came in a thousand pieces (okay, probably 3 dozen which felt like 1,000). I was determined to assemble without Ed, and I think it took me all afternoon (and two Ibuprofen). I have great respect for furniture makers!!! What a pain in the butt! So glad you got your dresser done, Maggie, and nothing's upside-down or inside-out (and your sense of humor is still intact, too, thank heavens!). :-)

Hugs,
SusanSusan McBridehttp://SusanMcBride.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1025201337316610324.post-87191020765865972132010-07-21T09:40:54.066-04:002010-07-21T09:40:54.066-04:00You're funny, Miss Maggie! You're funny, Miss Maggie!Misahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09841388306033941061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1025201337316610324.post-60368013199332297632010-07-21T09:40:43.052-04:002010-07-21T09:40:43.052-04:00You're funny, Miss Maggie! You're funny, Miss Maggie!Misahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09841388306033941061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1025201337316610324.post-59920789319896136292010-07-21T05:41:12.212-04:002010-07-21T05:41:12.212-04:00I've been there, done that. Isn't it funny, not at the time though, how something that looks easy to assemble, isn't?

And yet, we say we'll never assemble again, but we do.Druhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07978384022143035332noreply@blogger.com
